My close friend had just lost her 2nd baby as stillborn and I didn’t know what to get her in honour of her baby. I came across Aki store on FB and I knew the lamp would be a great gift with Samoan patterns as she is Samoan and thought that her daughter can be the light she needs during this really sad time.
Other than supporting Māori and Pasifika businesses, I thought it was a beautiful concept and design. I chose was the Fa'agogo and Gogo is my nanas name so it meant alot to us sentimentally. Definitely keen to buy more.
