What is 3D Printing and how does it work?

3D printing is an additive manufacturing process that creates three-dimensional objects by depositing material layer-by-layer based on a digital model, allowing for intricate designs and rapid production.

Why 3D printing?

This technology positively impacts the traditional manufacturing industry by enabling rapid prototyping, which accelerates the design process and reduces time to market. It also allows for greater design flexibility and customization, which can lead to more efficient and optimised products. Additionally, FDM can reduce material waste and the need for complex supply chains, contributing to more sustainable manufacturing practices.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

What is PLA material?

PLA (Polylactic Acid Plus) is an enhanced version of PLA, a biodegradable plastic made from renewable resources like corn starch.

Is PLA eco-friendly? 

PLA has several eco-friendly benefits, including:

  1. Biodegradable: Breaks down faster than traditional plastics.
  2. Lower Carbon Footprint: Produces fewer greenhouse gases during production.
  3. Renewable Resources: Made from plant-based materials.
  4. Energy Efficient: Requires less energy to manufacture.
  5. Non-Toxic: Safe for various applications.

How do I place an order?
Simply browse our products, select the items you wish to purchase, and add them to your cart. Once you’re ready to checkout, navigate to your cart and follow the prompts to complete your order.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and other secure payment options. Afterpay is available.

What happens if my lamp stops working?
Our current lamps are powered by a low-voltage LED panel built into the wooden base, designed to last for years. If your LED panel stops working and the lamp doesn't turn on, we'll replace it for free. Just send the lamp back to us (you will need to cover the shipping) and we’ll handle the repair and return shipping. You can also drop it off to us in person if you’re local.

We’ll be updating our lamp designs to use replaceable bulbs very soon. 

 

Shipping & Delivery

What are your shipping options?
We offer standard, expedited, and express shipping options. Shipping costs and delivery times vary based on the chosen method and your location.

Where do you ship?
We ship to NZ and internationally. Please check our shipping policy for detailed information.

How can I track my order?
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You can use this number to track your shipment on our website or through the shipping carrier’s website.

 

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of receiving your order

To the extent permitted by law, we don’t accept any liability for the goods ordered and/or loss or damage incurred by any person in relation to your order once it has been received by the courier for delivery to you.

How do I initiate a return?
To initiate a return, please contact us at support@akistore.co.nz or follow the return instructions that were included with your order. We’ll guide you through the process.

How will I receive my refund?
Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Please allow 5-10 business days for processing.
