I was so impressed with the quality of my lamp. The detail of the design is clear and the material that the lamp is made out of is very hardy, so much so that I don’t have to worry about my young toddler breaking it. It’s such a beautiful way to bring a bit of culture into my home that also serves a functional purpose.

This lamp is so beautiful! I love the Tāniko pattern and has become one of my favourite pieces in my whare :)

Stunning lamp with lovely meaning. Just the perfect amount of brightness and glow, gorgeous detail in the design, and I’ve already had compliments on it in my living room. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much xo

Absolutely stunning piece of artwork - it’s so much more than a gorgeous lamp. Great level of light, easy to use switch, and really beautiful detail with precious meaning. Thank you so much! I’m telling everybody!!

As advertised happy with it.

I am a raranga weaver, seeing patterns of taniko/raranga is why I chose the lamp.

I bought your beautiful lamp to use at my partners bday next year in January. To have on display with our past whānau members that have past on my mother and my partners father. I was drawn to the Matariki lamp just the connection it holds for the Māori new year as it is a very special time. The very beautiful designs and how elegant it just is as it stood out in awe.

I brought the lamp because I wanted a unique birthday present for my girlfriend. I chose the Matariki lamp this time because of what it represents - fresh start, togetherness and to embrace change. We both moved to Mt Maunganui a month ago after doing long distance for 18 months between Wellington and Rotorua.

We saw the lamps and just loved them all and thought it would be the most perfect gift for one of our kaiako who was having her moko-kauae done along side some of her whānau. We wanted to acknowledged the special journey she is on.

I feel most connected to the poutama design at this stage in life. They are beautiful I want all of the lamps lol.

The first one i chose for the love I hold for my cousin god daughter as she battled and won the fight against stage 4 cervical cancer and recently got a blood disorder which nearly took her life again the 2nd is for her newly created business Akakiore house of healing as she pushed thru and created and accomplished this thru her illnesses

My friend is currently designing a korowai with those patterns of the taniko. So, I thought it would be fitting to buy that design to continue to motivate them.
I loved the concept and the design. I wanted a special touch for certain places in my home. I bought 4 from the Matariki Market - one to gift to my daughter’s best friend , who sort of lived with us for 2 years. It was for her 18th and to represent how much we miss her.
Matariki design will be for every Matariki , it is the start of Matariki decorations for me .
Fa’agogo ties in with my husbands Kuki heritage , is displayed with our wedding photo and some Cook Island Art and decor we have.Plus with both have some of the design in tattoos.
Taniko has many meanings for me and being Maori , my Nan was a weaver and created tukutuku panels. It replaced the candle I had sitting next to my Dads ashes.

I tried to relate it to the person I bought it for, a young wahine maori who just moved to the big city of tamaki makaurau and moved into her first flat

I was drawn to it, I didn't really pick it, it picked me. Once I saw the pattern I knew that it was the one for me.
